PANEL BEATING

‘Panel beating’ refers to a range of techniques involved with restoring the shape of your car’s chassis after it has been damaged. Although it derives its name from the act of literally ‘beating’ a panel back into shape, panel beating can now refer to a range of procedures, including filling gaps with materials such as fibreglass and replacement of sections of body work. Often with modern cars it is deemed easier to simply replace whole sections of bodywork.

At Director Automotive Repairs, we’ll thoroughly assess the damage your vehicle has taken and decide upon the best approach for panel repairs before offering you a quote and a repair timeline. We understand that your car is your second-biggest asset after your home, and so we treat every vehicle that comes through our doors as if it were our own, ensuring that your repaired vehicle meets the manufacturer’s Original Equipment standards. We want you to walk away knowing that your vehicle does not even look as if it were damaged

SPRAY PAINTING

Our team of expert spray painters are fully qualified and have many years’ experience in colour matching and spray painting cars. We believe that colour matching and paint preparation is a crucial step in the refinishing process of your vehicle.

We use only the highest quality paints from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) PPG, to ensure a smooth, high-gloss finish that leaves your vehicle looking as good as new. The panels are prepared for the painting process with a primer and then sealed as this gives the adhesion for the top colour coats. The clear coats are then applied and the car is baked in the spray painting booth. It is equipped with a temperature control heater that ‘bakes’ the freshly painted panels to achieve maximum paint hardening. At Director Automotive Repairs, we take great pride in ensuring the finished paint job is perfectly color matched and spray painted. Put us to the test – contact us today

DENT REPAIRS

Hail damage and other minor dents and scratches that your car picks up over time can be a huge strain not just on you, the owner, but on your insurer and panel repairer as well. Damage that doesn’t look like much can have a bigger impact on the structural integrity of a panel, or even on the mechanical workings underneath.

Repairing hail damage and minor scratches and dents can be a major undertaking, and at Director Automotive Repairs, we take each job seriously. We’ll repair your minor damage the conventional way, removing paint, hardware, and accessories in the damaged areas before pulling each dent back to its original contour using the least possible amount of strain to your vehicle. Once the dent has been pulled out, we’ll expertly colour match your vehicle before priming and painting your vehicle so it looks as good as new.

RUST PROOFING

New cars are most often made with galvanised steel chassis, protecting them from rust and other adverse effects of the weather. Older cars, however, are more susceptible to rust and degradation, as is any part of your chassis that has been exposed to the open air. At Director Automotive Repairs, we offer rust proofing for all older or damaged vehicles.

Our rust protection continues to be effective no matter where you drive your vehicle, protecting metal from salt and moisture. We use specially designed and patented tools help our certified technicians apply coating where your vehicle needs it the most, including all of the hidden areas other service providers may miss. We ensure your vehicle is completely protected from rust, enabling you to drive anywhere, in any condition, without a worry

CHASSIS REPAIRS

Ensuring your vehicle’s chassis is repaired to manufacturer’s standard is crucial in retaining your vehicle’s safety and handling. At Director Automotive Repairs, we use the Shark Collision Frame Measuring Equipment to measure your vehicle’s chassis and underbody at all stages of the repair, tracking your car’s progress from damages to factory-repaired.

Shark electronic measuring is much easier and more reliable that mechanical measuring, and is able to give accurate results time and time again. Every 3 seconds, the Shark measuring system compares the real dimensions of your vehicle to the manufacturer’s dimensions, offering measurements and schematic illustrations which can be printed and referenced at any time and ensuring that your vehicle can and will be repaired to manufacturers’ standard.
